Liebster Award 2017

My First Blog Recognition – The Liebster Award 2017

2017 Liebster Award  – What It Is and How It Works and My Participation

Liebster Award 2017 is making its way around the web and I have a very big announcement to make. Karmically Scripted has received a nomination for the Liebster Award 2017. This award originated sometime around 2011. Its goal of Liebster Award is two fold. First, it recognizes new bloggers for their accomplishments. And second, it gives new bloggers a place to network and have their voices heard. I am humbled and grateful to be in the presence of some wonderful people. You all have shared and taught me so many things and I could not be more grateful. The blogging community is unlike anything I have ever seen.

The Rules

“If you receive a nominated for The Liebster Award AND YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT, write a blog post about The Liebster award in which you should do the following:

Liebster Award 2017 Rule #1

I would like to say thank you to Heather Fogel over at Mama Cranberry for the nomination of the Liebster Award. Heather is an impressive lady. She raised two children and her outlook on what most people would see as a struggle is inspiring. You see, Heather has had to deal with food allergies in her life. And she has taken this as an opportunity to grow as a person and learn more about how to nourish the body not just feed it. She also writes about traveling and it seems to me that she has a zest for life that you just don’t see anymore. You can follow Heather on Instagram. It’s worth a moment to drop and check her out.  Thank you, Heather, for the nomination and for inspiring others with your work.

Another blog that I frequent is Ardelia Lee – Copywriter. She offers a wide range of services. These range from reviewing your website to different copy writing packages. There is something to meet your needs. Ardelia also hosts a great Facebook group called The Business Café. She has also recently re-branded. And has some amazing advice on how to make your blog everything you dreamed it would be. Ardelia does frequent live videos as well. She is also extremely active in the group helping get us focused and motivated. Check out her creativity in a guest post she did over at Maggie Giele Digital Strategist. In the article, Ardelia uses The Lord of The Rings to demonstrate how to make your writing better. Check it out. How the Lord of the Rings Can Improve Your Website Copy

  3. I have 5 kids. And yes, that is a bit of a story as well.
  4. I live in the home that I grew up in.
  5. My first and only published writing was a poem I wrote when I was 16.

Liebster Award 2017 Rule #7

Mama Cranberry has asked a few questions of her nominees. Here are my answers.

What do you feel most grateful for in your life?

Without a doubt, my family. I would add my friends to that mix but to me, there is no difference between the two. If you are one in my life than you are the other.

What is the most extreme thing you have ever done?

I am not really an extreme person. I really have no idea how to answer this question.

What holds the top spot on your bucket list, and why?

I want to go to Ireland. I am of Irish decent and I would love to go and be a part of the beauty and history that is there.

Who has been the most influential person in your life?

There are a couple. I would rather not name names but I will say this. I am blessed to learn through a couple amazing women. They taught me that your age, past, or expectations of others matter. Every day is a chance to learn something new. Be it about yourself, a loved one or something you have an interest in. The only thing you need to grow as a person is you and desire.

What is your favorite book, and what does it mean to you?

Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson. This book is the reason I finally started my site. She is such an inspiration and a great motivator. I am inspired by how she talks about mental illness. She puts her personal struggles as well as her celebrations out there for the world to judge. Because of this book, I stopped worrying out the what-if-failures. I decided to start my blog because I wanted it, for me, not anyone else’s approval.

Liebster Award 2017 Rule #8

Another requirement of this award to ask questions of the people you nominated. So here we go with that.
  1. If you could eliminate one weakness or limitation in your life, what would it be?
  2. What’s something you intended to do today, but didn’t? Why not?
  3. If you could visit with any person in history, who would it be and why?
  4. What does “success” mean to you?
  5. If you could try anything in the world without fear of failure, what would you do?

Liebster Award 2017 Rule #9

Inform the people/blogs that you nominated that they have been nominated for the Liebster award and provide a link for them to your post or mine if you don’t have all the information so that they can learn about it (they might not have ever heard of it! Post a comment in the comments below so I can view your post and check out your blog. I personally visit each and every one. I visited a few hundred last year!!

Conclusion

So there it is. I know it was a long post but I hope there was something for everyone. Please feel free to look around the site and let me know what you think.

    1. Hi Sarah,
Thank you. We have a great story. I am working on a post about it. Well, not just us but the concept of long lost loves in general and it will have our story. You will have to check it out when I get it up and done. In short, we were best friends in grade school and all through school. Ended up marrying different people and 20 years later reconnecting only to find out that we always wanted to be together but neither of us telling the other. I hope you stick around to read about it.

I will be honest, aliens kinda geek me out a little. But I am into the other supernatural stuff. I like the ghost hunts, and the family works at the local haunted house in the fall. It is a great time.
